It was a blessing to work with Hand Waves Birth services! Brittany and Ally ensured my partner and I were informed and supported during our pregnancy and birth. Our labor was an unexpected journey that was trying, however, simultaneously affirming thanks to the knowledge, care, and support of our doulas. I’m thankful to have had them as a part of our birth team and would love to work with them again!
- I requested Hand Waves Birth service during my second pregnancy with Connor. During my first pregnancy with Avery, he was born 7 weeks early unexpectedly and I felt very lost and unprepared. Having a doula in my corner would help me emotionally process these life changes and be there during birth to act as a guide! At the beginning of my second pregnancy, I wanted vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) birth, but when I was at my 39-week appointment, Connor was in a breech position. I was upset, because I’ve always wanted to experience the labor and delivery (the pain during childbirth and be able to given birth naturally). I did not have that with my first birth. I also did not want to lose Hand Waves Birth service. However, Brittany and Ally were able to bring in another set of hands and eyes to help me better prepare for my surgical birth! They were able to get answers to my questions and formulate a birth plan for a C-section. For example, they recommended a clear drape during a C-section, but unfortunately, the hospital where I gave birth did not offer that option for a C-section. They wanted to make it special, an experience I wanted instead of dreaded and dedicated to providing a positive experience in addition to positive outcomes. They were beside me before and after birth and of course, my beloved husband too! They took the pictures, assisted me with my breastfeeding and wrote every details what was happening that day of my birth with Connor. My favorite gift from them is the artwork of Connor’s placenta and it is hanging on the wall in his bedroom. My husband and I could not thank Brittany and Ally enough for everything they have been done for us!
I had postpartum doulas service and was happy with their service! They set up a meal train for me which was very helpful because I also have 3 other kids to take care of and feed. With the meal train, I had the opportunity to bond with my newborn and spend quality time with my children. They also came over and did some light cleaning around my house and helped care for my baby while I took a long nice bath. I’m very grateful for their service. It is worth it!
I had placenta encapsulation service with Hands Waves Birth, and that was arranged while I was pregnant. I had heard about this but wasn’t fully aware of what benefits I would have after birth. Ally and Brittany explained the wonderful benefits that it would do for me. They gave me the choices on when or where I would like to have my placenta encapsulated. I chose to have them over my house while I am still in the hospital and have it ready by the time I get discharged from the hospital. During my hospital stay, Ally and Brittany sent me pictures and videos of the process. I was amazed on how neat and professional they were. My mother and my oldest daughter were at home, and my mother was amazed by the procedure. It was ready in a cute glass with some ribbons on top by the time I got home and it looked as if nothing happened in my kitchen, haha. My placenta encapsulation was worth it for me and my body.
I couldnt thank Ally and Brittany enough. They’re the best!
Ally and Brittany are very knowledgeable, supportive, and energetic doulas. I highly recommended their service.
They were very responsive to texts as I started to have contractions shortly after midnight on June 8. We met at the hospital when I had contractions that were 3 minutes apart (I believe) few hours later. They stayed with us till I had my daughter at 7 PM. They left when we gave them the green light.
I benefited the yoga ball, heat pad, and guidance from the doulas. They also provide few other equipments that I didn’t need but they had it.
The nurse were also amazed with their energy the minute they walked in the room. Even with the current mommy brain moments, we will never forget the smile and excitement they filled the room with.
My wife and I are first time parents and we wouldn’t have done this without their guidance throughout the pregnancy and delivery. They also regularly check ins with us to make sure we were doing okay when we had our gorgeous daughter.
We would definitely hire them again if we plan for second kid.
An experience I will never forget…. Having a belly cast allows me to have time for myself during my pregnancy and it is a wonderful way to relax as well as to reveal my pregnant body. The cool plaster, the connection from my girlfriends’ sharing touches, and the almost inevitable reaction of my little baby enjoying this process was all memorable! I thank the wonderful Hand Waves Birth Services who helped create this memory, not just a piece of art!
My husband and I requested Hand Waves Birth service for labor and delivery when I was expecting with Xade (6 weeks old now). We are first-time parents and our families are far out of reach in other states. So, we were nervous and in search of comfort and support. When doula named Brittany Noschese reached out to me and informed me of this service, my husband and I grabbed the opportunity. OH MY! We are, still to this day, VERY GRATEFUL for Hand Waves Birth Services. We couldn‘t imagine going through everything without their support. First, Hand Waves Birth Services offered sessions as in explaining what to expect, how to prepare, what to bring, how to breastfeed, and any expectations during labor and delivery. We met twice because my husband and I accepted service when I was two months away from due date. However, we were in touch frequently through texts and emails just to follow up, ask questions, etc. It was AMAZING.Our questions were answered immediately. Second, when I was in labor, I texted doula (Brittany) who came and supported my husband and me for 19 and half hours in hospital. She brought techniques and tools to soothe my contractions. Brittany also explained my husband how to relieve my contractions and supported him through long, long, long and long hours of labor. We were thankful for her presence during labor and delivery. Keep in mind that these doulas will not take over any of your partner’s role during labor and delivery. They will stand in the background until you need them. Long story short, my husband and I highly recommend them to you. Grab the opportunity and learn so much through them. Hand Waves Birth Services are full of great support, understanding and care.
